Coca-Cola Enterprises invests 30 million euros in a new can line in Grigny, France and will create 20 new jobs by 2015


An investment of € 30 million and 20 new jobs in 2015 To support its growth in France, Coca-Cola Enterprises will invest in a new, state-of-the-art production line for cans at its manufacturing site in Grigny, France. This investment of €30 million will create 20 new jobs at the site.
"With this new investment, Coca-Cola Enterprises reaffirms its commitment to produce in France since 90% of our drinks consumed in France are produced in France" said Hubert Patricot, European President, Coca-Cola Enterprises. "Our ongoing investments across our five industrial sites support the development of Coca-Cola Enterprises in France and also participate in the economic growth of the regions where we operate."
"With this new production line at the cutting edge of technology, Coca-Cola Enterprises demonstrates once again its confidence in the potential for industrial development in France. This investment also shows that France continues to attract US investments; Coca-Cola Enterprises is one of 4,500 US companies already present in France, employing more than 450,000 employees, who continue to develop and create jobs" said Muriel PĂ©nicaud, President of the French Agency for International Investments ( IFA ).
€ 217 million invested in France since 2009
Coca-Cola has been present in France for more than 90 years and employs 2,600 employees in the country. Its drinks are popular – consumed by 8 out of 10 French households.
As demonstrated by this new investment in Grigny, Coca-Cola Enterprises is committed to produce its drinks closer to its retail customers and is investing directly at the heart of the French economy.
Today, 90% of its drinks consumed in France are produced in France, in one of the company’s five plants: Dunkerque (59), Clamart (92) Grigny (91) Toulouse (31) and Marseille (13).
Coca-Cola Enterprises has invested 217 million euros between 2009 to 2014 across its five manufacturing sites with a view to expand their production capacity and reduce their environmental footprint.
